Over a five year span, Sparrow and Ian run into each other in unusual places. Each time, Sparrow has to decide if she can trust him, if he feels the same for her, and finally, if love is really enough.

The Dish: True Love Story is truly a story about true love . It's a story about the kind of love that lasts a lifetime but that is faced with so many obstacles and bumps along the way that sometimes the ones in love begin to wonder if love itself is enough. They begin to wonder if their love is really worth holding onto and fighting for...
The story starts off in the present when an older s Sparrow Fisher see’s her ex, Ian Sterling at the airport. There was a time where they were deeply madly in love yet  Ian managed to break Sparrow's heart in a way she never knew and now it's been a long time since she's last seen him.
"It's been a year, two months, and seventeen days since I last saw him. Two years, ten months, and five days since he broke my heart - well, since I knew that he had broken my heart.

Technically, he began breaking my heart the moment I met him, five years, eleven months and one day ago."

We go back to the past and find out how they met and where, we see the dynamics of their relationship being built.

Ian sterling – The musician with a soul waiting to be saved. God he had me swooning from the start, I just loved him and his confidence and ability to be straight-forward.

“It's a half-moon tonight and it's shinin' half-bright as if the sky could understand the way I feel inside-Half of me is livin' half a world from here, half of me is dyin', cryin' one lonely tear silently in the half-moon light Sparrow. Nothing will be completely right until you're with me.”

“The day I met you, I went home and told Jeff that I had met the girl I would marry... not 'would' like I thought it would happen, but would, as in, if I could marry any girl in the world... any girl ...I would choose you.”

They are so perfect together, he is older and have more life experience but she’s young and full of life just waiting to take the world by storm. They have the best times and laugh, she brings out another side in him. All the while knowing this can’t always be perfect.
“You’re going to break my heart, Sparrow Fisher.” And I think, Not before you break mine.”

Deeper into the story after all the sweet talk and newness in their relationship, something happens that changes sparrow forever and it breaks our heart, yet I'm still rooting for them and even though I hate Ian, I still love him and miss him. All the emotions sparrow went through you can feel them through the pages and you’re right there with her every step of the way until that moment we are back in the present and from there on it’s a world wind of forgiveness and regret and a second chance for Happy ever after.

“Love is enough.
Love does conquer all.
Love really does always protect, trust, hope, persevere...”

“Little Bird, our love has been hard-earned from the very beginning. It is more precious to me than anything on earth. I can't just let go of it. And I won't stop fighting for it." ~ Ian”

“Books,” I say firmly. “I’m crazy about books.”
He laughs. “Okay. That’s cool.”
“I like to read them and write them,” I say shyly.
Hello, my name is Sparrow and I am a nerd.
“He lifts his eyebrows, and his eyes land on my mouth. “God, everything you say is hot.”

“You're impossible.
You're delectable.
You're incorrigible.
You're edible.
I sigh, frustrated and turned on.
You know it's true. He inches closer.
No, I can't really say that I do.
Well, I can.”
