Librarian turned sorcerer. Sorcerer turned hero. Hero turned puppet.
The Solaris Empire found victory in the North and, at the cost of her heart and her innocence, Vhalla Yarl has earned her freedom. But the true fight is only beginning as the secret forces that have been lurking in the shadows, tugging at the strings of Vhalla’s fate, finally come to light. Nowhere is safe, and Vhalla must tread carefully or else she’ll fall into the waiting arms of her greatest foe. Or former lover
First things first, Grazie , Gracias , Shukran ,Merci (THANK YOU IN ALL THE LANGUAGES) to Elise for being amazing and allowing me to obtain an early copy and even more because my copy came really early and i was like *should i read it now, should i wait till later omg*
So as soon as i read the ending to Earths End i rejected everything and needed book four right after and waters wrath didn't disappoint. From the first pages in you're hooked, so much action and mystery and you get to see Vhalla being a bad ass, i was waiting for this to happen. she's still the same sweet book worm but circumstances has made her change in a way and know how to survive.
She;s running away from the past but somehow i didn't see it that way all the time. I saw it as Vhalla going to find herself, who is she without the prince's influence, and she used that time to also seek out some answers making enemies and friends. Speaking of friends omg i was surprised about Jax and came to love him so much in this book.
You know what i really loved? Was that Aldrik did try to change ( one of the many reasons i could deal with the ending in EE was that after while it made sense for them to part ways, they wouldn't have survived at the time and they both needed to do some changes) and he succeeded, Aldrik came around to be more mature and the prince everyone thought him to be.
I'm not going to go into the romance because i will be rambling for hours BUT i did appreciate that the romance didn't overshadow the plot and the changes they both made for themselves, and yes even though Aldrik is engaged and there were times they had moments that could be considered cheating in a way, they never crossed that line.
One thing i didn't like was that after everything Vhalla has been through she trusted someone so easily and they betrayed her ( i for one never trusted him, you could hear me screaming Nope this does not feel right) i think that it was her way of trying to not doubt everyone because yes they all did want something from her and she just wanted once to let her guard down.
Water's Wrath Built me up and then destroyed me only to build me up again and finally destroy me again and i loved loved loved it.

Omg! I'm a little over halfway through this and I think I know who you're talking about for the betrayal... Great review! I'm so glad you liked it :)
